My friend's three-year-old daughter Lila, hugging my American Saddlebred horse Duke. Duke may be 17 hands tall and weigh nearly 1300lbs, but he is such a gentle giant, especially with little kids!

its amazing how gentle horses can be with kids! i had a gelding who was a rough and tumble kinda guy, he was mouthy but never went after skin, he just like to play that way. anyhow, we where at a horse show and a little boy, probably just a few years older then Lila, went up and started petting him. my first thought was is Logan gonna accidentally bit the kids fingers? but he just lowered his head and closed his eyes and took a nap.

i think this image shows how loving and gentle horses can be, and it doesn't matter how big they are
